Taylor Swift to Play iHeartRadio Music Festival 2014
The fourth annual iHeartRadio Music Festival is shaping up to be a star-studded concert, featuring a many of pop’s biggest artists performing over the course of two days. Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Usher, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Mötley Crüe, Zac Brown Band, and One Direction will all perform, as will Ed Sheeran, Paramore, Iggy Azalea, Eric Church, Lorde and Calvin Harris, among others. The festival’s organizers are also promising surprise guests at the event, which will take place at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Hotel and Casino on September 19th and 20th.
The festival will also feature an iHeartRadio Music Festival Village in the parking lot across from Luxor Hotel and Casino featuring live performances by Iggy Azalea, Neon Trees, Kacey Musgraves, Childish Gambino, Magic!, the Pretty Reckless, Lil Jon and more. It will also include what organizers call “fan zones” and interactive experiences with brand partners.
“Year after year the iHeartRadio Music Festival continues to deliver an unprecedented music experience for millions and millions of fans nationwide,” the festival’s host, Ryan Seacrest, said. “I couldn’t be more excited to be part of it. The adrenaline-pumping performances by pop stars and legendary artists alike, the never-seen-before collaborations, the energy of the fans and the artists, this is truly an event like no other.”
Tickets for the general public go on sale on July 26th at 1 p.m. EST.
Because the festival is a Clear Channel event, music fans who are unable to attend will be able to listen to a live broadcast of the event on Clear Channel stations in 150 cities or watch a live stream on Yahoo! Screen beginning each night at 10:30 p.m. EST. Fans can also watch a two-night special broadcast on the CW at 8 p.m. EST on September 29th and 30th.
Taylor Swift spends the day Mom and Dad in NYC
The 24-year-old stepped out in a tube top as she took in the sights of New York City with her mom and dad.
Later that same day Taylor posed for pictures with a fan in a wheel chair, and also made sure to sign a few mementos.
Taylor reveled she’s been working on her latest album, the follow up to her 2012 hit Red.
‘I’ve already been working very hard on it and it’s already my favourite thing that I’ve ever created,’ she told MTV News.
And the star reassured fans she’s still taking a very personal approach to her song writing.
‘As I’ve grown up, the things I’ve written about have completely evolved with how I was growing,’ she said.
‘I was writing songs about what it was like to be 18, what it was like to be 20, what it’s like to be 22 and now I’m 24 and I’m still writing songs about my life.’
