hi so this isn't totally taylor related, but i was wondering if you have any tips for a girl who has just decided to start running. any advice?

never give up. it’s a good pain because if it hurts that means it’s working. rhythm is key. you can only get as much air as you’re giving yourself so focus on your breathing…music helps with this. go as far as you can before you go as fast as you can. find your sweet spot and try to keep yourself there. don’t think of it as a workout (if you’re running outside) think of it as a fast-paced adventure. take the opportunity to go places and see things you may not have thought to go see in a car or bus. take in your surroundings and absorb the beauty of what’s around you while you run, it helps keep your mind off of the fact that you are running and straining your body (trust me, it takes you far….literally….i accidentally went over 5 miles straight one day just by focusing my mind on something else besides my body). hydrate and fuel up before you run. can’t drive a car on an empty tank. it’s all about taking one step at a time and progressing. good luck baby <3 welcome to the club
